Do NOT pay to rent DVDs again

October 28th, 2008 at 03:00 pm

Google redbox codes (it might be that dot com) and use those codes. They work, just take a few with you in case one doesn't work where you are. One DVD per code. We've rented 3 so far for free.

Our library has free dvds--even new releases. I noticed today the had the entire Indiana Jones and several others that kind of surprised me.

Good tip about Redbox. I'll have to give that a try. We have Netflix, but sometimes we want something different than what we've got at home. There is a Redbox at our supermarket.

Our library charges for DVD rentals.

Great tip! Thank you. They used to include them in their emails, but don't anymore and I haven't even thought of doing a search for them. I do have them text me a coupon code each Monday & Wednesday (you can sign up for it on their site), but haven't used those yet. Since I don't open it unless I'm going to use it, I don't pay for the text either. Again, thanks for the tip!

We've been doing this for a while when we want something blockbuster-y. Just FYI, the codes are tied to your credit or debit card number. Sometimes when a code won't work with a card you already used, give it a try with a different card.

Yup... the code only works on your credit/debit card once. Forgot to mention that.
