Back to Math Tutoring

February 27th, 2009 at 06:25 am

Posted on Craigslist and got two hits immediately. I'm thankful for the ability to help people with something I love so much AND for the ability to get paid for it!

Technically, this is my fourth concurrent job. Right now, I:
Babysit
Work in an afterschool program
Work for a company that teaches engineering through LEGO
Tutor math

DH is up and running with his lawncare business, so hopefully all of this will be enough to get us through.

PS - I'm also very interested in taking H&R Block's tax prep course later in the year so hopefully I'll add that to the bag of tricks for next year. I think times like this call for flexibility.

It sounds like you are keeping busy. Smile If you lived near me, I might just ask you to help me refresh my math skills for the GRE. Big Grin Math is one subject I would not want to attempt teaching or tutoring above 8th grade (basic Algebra.)

Wow! I'm impressed with how you are rising to the occasion! Good luck with your tutoring adventure.

You are doing great, Snoopy. With your wonderful attitude and talents those kids are lucky to have you work with them. Good luck!

SnoopyCool, I just read your tagline:

"My life framed in financial black. I am not so pretty in red."

    LOVE IT!!!

Tutoring sounds like a great fit for your multiple earnings hats!

Ha, I like the title of your blog also. Smile I'm all about frugality so it's always nice to find more blogs on the topic! I also love your name, because I'm a big Peanuts fan!

Since you mentioned that you do tutoring, I wanted to invite you to check out a giveaway on my blog. The winner gets a free tool to promote their tutoring business, and this seems like a prize you might like to win, so I hope you have a chance to check it out!
