Garage Sale - get away from me, junk!

I am decluttering and purging, and hoping to make a little moo-la this weekend. Wish me luck.

Oh, and if you have any tips on holding a sale, please let me know. I'm thinking advertising with signs at all major intersections in a mile radius, Craigslist, online paper ad (that's free).

    Your advertising plan sounds perfect. It's just what I did. Use neon poster board and a black marker to make thick bold letters. Post address, arrows, day of week and time of sale.

    I used a fanny pack to hold money. That way I could move away from the checkout table and still have the money with me. Use extra plastic shopping bags to hold merchandise customer is purchasing.

    I found that advertising through the newspaper is very helpful. Even though it's not online it still seems to be very popular. Best of Luck!
